Who Is Barbara Barry?

Barbara Barry was born and raised in California, surrounded by a family of artists. She also has a knack for the arts and enjoys plein-air painting. She attended art school briefly before setting out to explore the cultural life of Europe. Upon her return, she had actually opened up a cheese shop in Mendocino. It was running this business that led her to discovering her skill for design and the eventual founding of her foundation in 1985. Since then, the company has grown to become one of the most well-known fabric design firms. To this day, she continues to design a wide variety of fabrics, furniture, and other accessories for fashion and interior design.
