History of Bergamo Fabrics: Bergamo Fabrics is one of the world leaders in the importation and distribution of upholstery and drapery fabrics. The very first Bergamo Fabric offerings were launched by Walter Easton in 1956, from a domestic mill in New York. Eventually the business began the importation of fine fabrics by Sahco and Rubelli. Dominating the market for more than 50 years, the company continues to cater to the needs of interior decorators and designers worldwide. Bergamo Fabrics is known mostly for their Sahco and Rubelli collections, each offering their distinct lines of exquisite fabrics. These collections, which include wovens, linens, silks, damasks, and prints, are designed to suit a variety of residential and contract projects. The company also works with some of the most renowned designers today, including Lori Weitzner, Ulf Moritz, Dominique Kieffer, and Armani. Headed by President Rosecrans Baldwin today, Bergamo has its showroom at the New York D&D building. Many of its collections are also distributed through trade showrooms and in Donghia showrooms.
