Who are Edgar and Theresa Hyman?
Edgar and Theresa Hyman are the original founders of Echo Scarfs, a company that eventually led to the Echo Design Fabrics you see today. Their story begins in 1923, when they launched the company on the same day as their wedding. The company quickly grew to stand out from its competition and was one of the first companies to import foreign fabrics. The popularity of the company allowed it to survive both the Great Depression and WWII. Edgar and Theresa’s son-in-law eventually became involved in the 1950’s and, though the company had several setbacks along the way, it continued to stand strong. Edgar and Theresa’s legacy now lives on in Echo Design Fabrics which continue to be at the forefront of interior design.
