Who Is Hunt Slonem?
Hunt Slonem is an artist an avid nature lover. Many of his prints feature birds and he continues to keep a wide variety of bird species in his personal aviary even today. Slonem’s art career began in 1973, when he was hired by the Department of Social Services in New York City to teach painting classes to senior citizens. This led to him working in a studio in 1975 and securing several design grants. Slonem also enjoys travel and takes much of his inspiration from nature around the world. Slonem has worked with many forms of design media, such as sculptures and furniture. He has featured in many museum exhibitions and collaborated with numerous other designers and brands, such as the Echo Design Group. Slonem’s work continues to receive praises for its whimsical, yet sophisticated nature.
