Who is Isabelle De Borchgrave?

Isabelle De Borchgrave is a Belgian artist that got her start at the age of 14. She began her studies of the arts at the Centre des Arts Décoratifs and eventually transferred to the Académie Royale des Beaux-Arts in Brussels. After she finished her education, she worked in the advertising industry for a short time. In 1994, De Borchgrave made a visit to New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art that would set the course for her prolific career in design. It was after this visit that she began making clothing out of paper and eventually designing clothes for her friends. De Borchgrave eventually took this success and established a personal studio where she would continue to produce fashion and fabric designs. Her artistic and interior design abilities were soon recognized and she began working on numerous collaborations, special events, and more. De Borchgrave continues to produce new fabric designs today as well as sculptures, paintings, and other art forms.
