Who is Jan Showers?

Jan Showers was born in Dallas, Texas and her design style began in childhood. Her mother influenced her affinity for the arts and Showers would frequently create homemade “magazines” for her. These magazines included various cutouts from interior design publications which were arranged by room. Showers studied business at Texas Christian University and quickly made a name for herself by decorating for friends. She eventually went into the interior design business full time in 1977. Showers continued to redefine interior design which has led to numerous collaborations with furniture makers, other interior design companies, and more. Showers notes that her line of Jan Showers Fabrics focuses on displaying a glamorous lifestyle without being “too showy”. Showers has strong opinions of interior design and a highly defined style that assists her in continuing to produce the gorgeous work you see now.
