Kravetsy first opened an upscale tailoring business before designing trimmings like tassels, tiebacks and piping in 1918. Today, Kravet trimmings remain popular amongst upholsterers, furniture makers and interior designers. The business became a family business in the 1920s, around the same time Kravet began selling to industry insiders. In the last hundred years, Kravet has diversified its offerings. To reflect this, the company changed its name to Kravet Inc. in 2002. Kravet has worked with dozens of designers to produce ​​licensed collections of Kravet fabrics, Kravet wallpaper and Kravet trimmings. Kravet offers furniture, carpets and lighting.
