Who is Johnson Hartig?

Johnson Hartig was born in California. In his childhood, he learned to sew from his grandmother and one of their neighbors. Hartig later went on to travel the world with his family before returning to the United States to study at California State University. Hartig, along with electro-pop vocalist, Cindy Greene, founded the Libertine fashion line in 2003. His designs, inspired by vintage styles and modern prints, quickly caught the attention of well known designers and artists. Many musicians and other celebrities have donned Hartig’s clothing over the years and he has received many recognitions. Hartig has also been involved in several charity projects. After his massive success in the fashion industry, Hartig brought his talents to interior design. Just a few years ago, Hartig collaborated with Schumacher to create the line of unique fabrics you see today. The line took off and Hartig continues to be a major presence in the industry.
