Who is Lilly Pulitzer

An iconic American designer, the Lilly Pulitzer design house started out small in 1959 when the wife of citrus grove owner Peter Pulitzer, Lilly was selling freshly squeezed juices. She would repeatedly stain her clothing while squeezing all sorts of citrus fruits, so she asked her tailor to make her a dress that would hide the colorful stains. The sleeveless dress made of bright and exuberant colors started the craze that is the Lilly Pulitzer brand today.
